Sunshine is the one fuel every Indian farm already has. Put a few solar panels on a roof or a shed, charge an electric tractor from them, and the field work runs on the sun.
Why the sun and a battery tractor go together
- Clean power, made on the farmSolar panels turn sunlight into electricity. Charged from them, an electric tractor does its work with no carbon at all.
- Even on grid power, far cleanerOn ordinary grid electricity our machines still put out over 80% less CO₂ than diesel for the same work.
- Charges from a normal socketThe Haldhar 750 charges from a 220 V socket with the charger supplied, so a solar system with an inverter that powers the house can charge the tractor too.
- A fraction of diesel's costElectricity costs a fraction of diesel for each hour of work: our machines' running cost is over 85% lower, per hour, than a diesel machine's. With your own solar power, the energy itself costs nothing.
What it means day to day
Charge in the daytime while the sun is strongest, or overnight from the grid, and start the morning with a full battery. A charge gives 3 to 5 hours of work on the KR-GEN 4 and 4 to 6 hours on the Haldhar 750 and the Krishi Maharaj-750, depending on the job.
There is no diesel to buy or carry to the field, and no engine oil, fuel filters or injectors to service. The machine is quiet, with no exhaust, so it can work in polyhouses, between orchard rows and near homes.
